For those who don't have or know what a defragmeter is, it is a software that organises the files on your Hard drive (HDD) so that they are not fragmented, this increases boot speeds, frees up more hard drive space, and many other benefits. Well you will be happy to know that a free programme called "Auslogics Disk Defrag" offers all of the benefits of defragmentation. I recommend this programme to anyone and I guarantee it will free up some hard drive space (on its first use).

Good to know there's still a keen interest in developing defragging software...I might give this one a whirl, it looks like a worthy upgrade from the Windows one. Cheers mate.

ReplyDeleteDoes windows 7 have an in-build defragger ?
ReplyDelete@Pieter MD yes but they don't spend to much time making it, they don't update it, that's why getting a third party software is good because they are dedicated to it.
ReplyDeleteYeah sound advice, but one for the new-to-pcs types.
ReplyDelete"everyday im fraggin it" i cant afford hustling
ReplyDeleteThanks for the reminder, I gotta do this soon. Auslogic's is great.
ReplyDeleteThis seems interesting. Probably better than the windows default blogger xD
ReplyDeleteWas it vista or 7 where the defrag didn't show a progress bar? Either way that's the reason that I'm lazy and never do it. This seems super useful.
ReplyDeleteI should probably do that soon.
ReplyDeleteYeah great program, I recommend it.
ReplyDeleteHey, great programs you are reviewing. Also for the HDD I can recommend HD Tune and Crystal Disk, both very good for keeping an eye on your HDD.
ReplyDeleteI just did is. It worked. Thanks a lot.
ReplyDeleteI try to defrag at least once a week. Great post.

ReplyDeleteI like the choices on defrag options, man.

ReplyDeleteI've been looking for something like this for the last 3 months, thanks. Have you got any statistics on the effect of defragmenting?

Nice... speaking of which, I gotta defrag soon anyways. Or maybe I'll just download this? hmmmm +followed
ReplyDelete@barbecues I'm sure there are probably stats out there on the net, but from my experience, it defiantly does free up space if you have never defraged before.
